The Pups are 'getting some legs ' now, and at this age of around 10 weeks, they are getting more adventurous', and teething is kicking in!..they explore everything with their mouth up close', and anything new is an adventure ?, or something to learn from.
Image
Anything that is not bolted down with 1/2 " nuts and bolts is fair game to a pup of this age!...It isn't doing anything bad!..just testing the world, and everything in it.
It certainly helps if you have a partner ,or members of the family who also understand this very crucial 'mouthing stage'!
Image
The hand should be a centre of reward ,rather than correction!
Image
Taking the 'brush' for a walk should be encouraged!...It's learning to hold ,and 'Hold on to'!
Image
Make sure your slippers are always on your feet!...otherwise they will be used!...but as a valuable training aid without buying fancy things from the pet store.
Image
If you have installed the recall'? It's the best way to have them back on your feet and they end up not 'chewing them'.
'Tuggy' was mentioned on another thread/...Brilliant for these two!...It creates desire rather than hard mouth!...they don't know how to crunch a bird, just learning to want.
Image
They have now had their second jab(vaccination), but they are already walking with the pack through the woods and never go much further than the sound of your footstep.

Time does 'FLY' !!
Cassie and Dee are now 13 weeks old ,and training on Game has started :o
Image
If the recall is installed?...well it's just the same when you have something in yer gub
Image

An encouragement as you walk backwards, always gets a nice delivery!,,,but dont take it ;)

Cassie is not quite so bold and confident>? so she decides to carry by the head.
Image
But thats ok! as long as she comes back with it. She will soon learn it's easier when you get it balanced and in the middle.

I tried to see the video last night but it had gone, I was disappointed, then saw that Smokey had seen it yesterday, so tried again. Glad I did because this morning the video was there. It was lovely to watch, though I felt sad to think that today Bella and the pups will be separated.

My pup is now 6 months old and had been in a stream and shallow pond, I took him to a deeper one yesterday, completely forgetting he hadn't swum before, he threw himself in with gusto, grabbed the tennis ball and disappeared under the water. He eventually surfaced and started to swim, eager to do it again :-D

Feeding Raw Tripe! certainly puts the Fat on these pups! and they love it!
Image

Back to training!!!!
Even though they love it!...They will always still 'retrieve it'!......
Image

Although, they do remember where they got it from? So they will retrieve that as well

Oh!..and anything else !
