She's a lovely looking bitch Trefor - definitely has that Larford stamp to her.

I know what you mean about the look they give you. Switch gives me it regularly in training when she's worked hard for a flush and I always seem to 'miss' it with my starter pistol.

Nice pics Trefor, Doli's a good looking cocker. (D'oh, Nick beat me to it - get back to work Mr C!)

I chuckled as I read your post and remembered Switch was the same after nursing the pups for a few weeks - an excellent mum but one whiff of a gamebag or wellies coming out and from the next room you'd hear a frantic scrabbling followed by a succession of popping noises then disgruntled mewing as she left a stream of nursing pups in her wake trying to get to the front of the training queue!

I had one of those nice rubber teals once too but annoyingly lost it in the leaf litter of a beech wood due to a poorly designed gamebag.

It was a struggle but Mary managed to keep this lot together while I took the photo.
Yes we do like operas
Hope you like them Judy. Are you sure you don't want Otto :-D

Have to say they are gorgeous and looking at Doli is like looking into my bitches face. (sire Larford Cateran)

Thank goodness we don't do boys at our house!

Larford Evan was Doli's sire. :) Up until we had Doli we had always had labs, but she has given me so much pleasure and I enjoy training and working with her so much that I am now thoroughly convinced about cockers. :-D Must admit to still liking labs though. ;)

I'd love to have him but he's very closely bred to my two so he would have to live a life of chastity, probably without his brains!!
Think its easier if I stick to bitches.

Lovely babies though, Otto would be just right for Iain and Rebecca. .... .... :-)

Trefor and Mary,

really gald to hear that you have found a good home for Otto - I knew you would. They've got a lovely little pup there.

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Nick. The pups are six weeks old tomorrow and they are really developing their characters :) As promised, here are a couple more photos. I tried really hard to get all four together, but they are just too lively and as soon as I take the picture oat least one of them has moved

I don't know who left the bottles of single malt and gin in the background. Must be Mary's. Never touch a drop myself
