broke in and clipped my dog!
Stange one this. After having a nice time at the beach I came home to find someone had broken in to the garden and then down to the kennels. No dog taken but had clipped one of the springers with scissors! Dog looks a right mess!

Junior CSJ champ my litter are on, all are looking great and getting nice and big. The new owners "to be" are all impressed with their condition. Can't fault it

Re: Best budget kibble? CSJ champ?
I have tried a few brands of food but have found CSJ very good. All mine are on CSJ champ and have been for about 2 years, I do give some raw tripe during the shooting season but other than that just the CSJ. I find the dogs are alert, shining coats and have good solid muck. I have also got my litte...

Re: My Springer is too calm
I have a new bitch and she is about the same age. She was and is at times a little slower than my boys but I have had her in the rabbit pen as the others have mentioned and she is coming on great after a couple of controlled chases. I like the fact that she is a little slower gives me time to get th...

Re: DUMMIES TO GAME
What I should of said is "I have never had any problems with game retrieves". If I did I would go back and slowly start introducing it again, but I never have so must be doing something right.

Re: DUMMIES TO GAME
I got mine interested in cold game (rabbit) out in the garden and threw it a short distance and let him retrieve, didn't worry to much if he ran in. Did this a couple of times and then stopped. Carried on with this during the next few training sessions and added some longer retrieves with dummies. A...

Re: would you work your dog if you weren't paid?
What is the amount you get paid? Is there an average? I did my first season beating just gone and got paid £20 plus a pie and beer for lunch. It dosen't seem alot and some of the days can be long...didn't finish till gone 4pm some days but I enjoy being out with the dog and the company.....It's only...
