Re: Are docked tails getting longer?

I have two spingers and a cocker, all were docked leaving two thirds on and one third off by the same vet, the tails all look different lengths in regards to each dog. I think the over short docking can lead to arguments about the aesthetics rather than what I consider the true purpose of a working ...

Re: Hybrids, Mongrels or Designer Breeds

I think it was 1905 ish, that cockers and springers were really seperated as different breeds and it was weight related.
as for the poos, If someone wants to pay £900 or so as long as they are happy with the poo they got I say fair play , the price is what the price is.

Cheers .

Re: Single Pup

I have a 5 week old pup here now, well deveoped and healthy, I have a toy on a string for him if he gets too aggressive then I pull the toy away (I am hoping this simulates the way another pup behaves when being bullied) he really seems no different than pups in litters I have had before. I am now o...

Re: SOCKS FOR WELLYS

I always use a nice stretchy electrical tape. Easy to keep a small roll with if needed.
also good for keeping plasters on and will do the job of vet wrap in the field with a small piece of tissue. Always in my pocket with a knife. Helps keep carrying different things to a minimum.

Re: Sturdy Type ESS

days on a driven shoot, is broken up between drives, plus you will stop for lunch, in my opinion the care of the dog in these breaks can really contribute to the length of time the dog can perform, also the stamina of the dog and its diet. The cold getting into the dog can vary in live out or live in...

Re: Mother wishing to visit pups, but when she does...

At seven weeks old they may only have a week left with you, therefore they should be ready to be without her by now, I have had my pups weaned and separated by this time as it will only put more stress into the break up. stop her feeding and try to break that bond not the reverse. this has led to no...

Re: any images of snipey headed cocker spaniels

I must admit to be confused by the term snipe headed as the photos shown all look like the dogs have different body conformities not just slim muzzles. I have not seen a photo of a heavily boned dog with a "snipe" head, or a lightly built dog with a wide muzzle. Does any of this make a dif...
