Speak to the breeder for any advice, obviously knows what hes doing if hes won with dam, he will also know the line/type and can advise on the way forward.

A decent one is going to cost you over £2k. Unless you have multiple dogs they arent worth the effort. There is a small demand for hire, but i wont hire mine out unless its part of a lesson, otherwise you just get unruly dogs and the rabbits dont last long.

Buy the best bred pup you can find, ideally see parents working. You may have to wait as they are thin on the ground at moment.

IPS, mentioned that the dew claws were giving eze the problem. My ess breeder had the vet remove my pup’s...is it a practice not done in the uk? newf, vets in UK are very wary of taking off dewclaws, it is difficult finding one that will dock let alone dewclaws, i have any rears removed at docking ...

Let the pup be a pup, is about the most misleading and unhelpful advice you will get, start early, make it fun and go from can do to should do to must do
