Re: Cat killing

A lot of GWP tend to be hard wired into hating cats too. Not sure if still the case but in the past a GWP had to kill a cat as 1 of the working tests before breeding with them in Germany as a test for 'hardness'' With the GWP's the more german orientated lines do tend to be harder than more UK/danis...

Re: Picking up on a shoot

Just be careful when u actually come to start working ur dog in the picking up line, u can very easily ruin a yound dog picking up esp if u have no older dogs to do the more difficult retrieves and runners.

Re: Another rabbit pen question - weedkiller

Will depend wot ur weeds are? If u want all vegetation plus the roots killed ur Roundup (Glycophoshate) type would bbe ur best bet. But u can also get others that will only kill broad leaved weeds (Grazon, Headland flail etc) but leave the grass, mibee handy if u've got a netal/dock problem but want...

Re: Rabbit pen electric barrier fencing

Re: Rabbit pen electric barrier fencing

Just looked at ur photo again (tidy job) with ur posts being on the outside shoud make it a lot easier, i would just put insulators on the posts which should give u 3" clearance to net, use 2.5mm HT wire pull nice and tight. Either use duck eggs at corners or buy some lengths off insulator pipe...

Re: Rabbit pen electric barrier fencing

We built a few very large laying pens for fancy ducks, the owner then added electric wores every where, it was a nightmare to try and fix. think he had 4 spaced up the vertical wire He had used thin electric wire and the insulators were only sitting about 1" proud of the wire so were getting bl...

Re: Bathing the dog

I know i'm a bit late to the party, but have u considered a fleece coat for ur cocker. Spaniels are bad to dry properly with a towel, but mud will dry on below fleece and just give it a rub down outside later on when dry and all the mud should just flake off I think there brilliant put it on my spri...

Re: Dog Poo, Any uses?

My dogs are kennelled which makes it easier but i just put any into old 20kg dog food bags and just put a fullish bag in the bin every week or 2.
