Re: Dog ID
I think you have agreed with some of my statements Vicky ie movement and spinal damage and as I said early becasue of these reasons I see no good reason to have a dog chipped at such an early age. I also cannot see how vets who know there is a possibility of spinal damage, chip pups be they docked o...

Re: Dog ID
just seen this new thread from another thread i was commenting on. Shame it wasn't kept on the same thread. I think most of the people on that thread were saying that they kept to the law Vicky. They as I choose not to have the chips done until they are 12 weeks old which is allowed by law. As my ve...

I have mine done at 12 weeks which is the limit !!! on occation when i do breed the odd litter i get the new owners of surplus pups to sign a declaration that they will get their pup chipped by 12 week...

Re: Tail Docking & Dew Claws Etc.
 Hi My breeder had an issue with infection with chipping at 12 weeks so now recomends chipping at 5 months, so I spoke to my vet when I went for the second vacination and he was happy to wait so he had it done at 5 months and all went well so dont see an issue if all parties are happy with thi...

Re: Tail Docking & Dew Claws Etc.
I am very lucky with my vets, they come to me to do the docking and they also agree with me that there is no need to micro chip befoer they leave me. I therefore send the new owners away with the correct paper work and they get their vet to chip the pups when their vet is happy too. My vet points ou...
