Feels like Hello Again!

Hi Folks! Some of you might remember me from last year. I kinda went off radar for a long time....long story, new house ex-partner...you get the gist. Anyway, when I last posted I had a wee Springer bitch, kinda nervous, who didn't like retrieving and spat the dummy 3 feet away from me... So, I swop...

Re: Taking a break

I'm hoping that's true. Rosie's just come into heat in the last few days and I think a complete break in training for the duration will be just what we need at the moment. Don't think she could have timed it better. But I find it very strange being out without a dog. I'm a bit 'lost' now....too much...

Re: translating the 'hold'

thanks david and judy. Yes, I know it doesn't seem like it, but I usually train in waterproofs  my confidence took a big nose-dive, and quite frankly Rosie was bored with a tarmac lane/ house and an uptight mum who didn't like a camera on her  Ok, think i've finally figured it out  ...

Re: Jokes

An old man lived alone in a village. He wanted to dig his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him,was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation: Dear Son, I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t be able to pla...

Re: translating the 'hold'

Thanks Wullie and pol She doesn't enjoy retrieving from 'boring' places at all, it is purely for my benefit, you are 100% there. Out today in woodland and it's a different story :-D she's really raring to go. but i thought i needed to get it right somewhere boring first.... I tried naj's advice and ...

Re: translating the 'hold'

Many thanks for that Rascal. I watched that a good while ago, glad I watched it again. I think i'm at the stage where i've tried so many things that i've lost any semblance of consistency  i need to work out what the right thing is, and stick to it. Yes, you're right. I had always given her a ...
