Re: Cocker!!!
When my cocker was younger he reduced a pine kitchen table to sawdust ! I forgot to roll the rug up in the kitchen before I went to be last night. He'd clawed it to heck 'nesting' by the morning
And he's 12 years old now

Re: My ESS picking up a pricked bird (Action Shot)
That's a good point about the manner in which the photos were taken. You have just got to get down to doggy level if you want shots like that. Entering water ?
Hi, I was out with a friend this morning and assisting with some retrieve work with his cocker. She retrieves very well despite the area inundated with bunnies and their scent at the moment. We have a nice secluded lake nearby and we decided to do some retrieves from the water. Happily swimming near...

Re: Show x working gundogs ?
Hi Wullie, some dogs seem to 'hit' you, as you put it, because you obviously have an eye for a dog  In some part due to an innate ability and in some part due to your years of experience looking at and working with dogs. It's funny that out of a litter of pups we can home in on one and decide ...

Re: Show x working gundogs ?
Yes, a look at the parents is an advantage if it's possible. That might give you an idea of what your pup might 'look' like. From my experience though, a good look at the grandparents was a lot more useful. But when it comes to temperament in adults, a lot of the time you are looking at the product ...
