Re: Dog or Bitch?
Lol
Thanks for the reassurance. My gut tells me to go for the dog I've seen, but I was worried after hearing a lot of people saying a bitch is easier to train.

Re: Dog or Bitch?
Surely you mean she is 2 yrs old and had "3 seasons", not litters! As for male or female this is a personal choice. I have had 3 operational working Police dogs which have always been Dogs, but my pet/trialling have always been bitches. With gundogs I have just gone for a Lab bitch, she h...

He's all for lopping the boy(s) bits off, but I th...

Should I go for a dog or a bitch? I have read that bitches are easier to train for a beginner and ar...

Re: Cocker Spaniel running ahead.
Some good advice, thank you. I will order a whistle and get training. I'll no doubt have more questions later.
Off to read up about quartering training now.

Re: Cocker Spaniel running ahead.
We have kept his original name, it suits him ;) But we are just using voice commands, the whistle is a good idea, he might respond to that. I was watching some training videos on youtube and his head was cocking when he heard the whistles on there. Another thing I've noticed is both my husband and m...
