Re: back to basics
We actually forgot to ask about that because we were been given that much info on improving all of his basic commands. It's an excited thing as he does it when he is running over to you when you call him back, it's becoming an issue now as we are back to basic recall so when he comes back he wants t...

back to basics
Hi all,
So we have found a new gundog trainer for Oscar and turns out he's not as far on as we had been made to think. So we are now going back to basics with everything. One of his main issues is jumping up so does anyone have any advice on how to stop this.
Thank you.

Re: trainers in the renfrewshire area
Is this a gundog class I looked at the website and it only mentioned obedience classes?

gundog trainers in the renfrewshire area
Hi there, I was wondering what trainers there are in the renfrewshire area. We already go to a great class, but I was just wondering what other trainers are out there.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: pulling up grass
Thanks everyone, I did worry about his sight as well but it is only during the retrieves that it happens, so I dont think it is. As for the correction of bad behaviour we have never done this is anyway, so I don't think that is what it could be as we always try to make the retrieves fun, to keep his...

Re: pulling up grass
Not that many as we take it in turns throughout the class so he probably does about two of each retrieve. Also if we do the retrieves on a hard surface he does do it, so it's very strange. It's not just grass he does it with all toys that are thrown for him on grass.

Re: residential courses scotland
We are from the west but I would travel to another part as there aren't a lot of trainers near ourselves.

Re: residential courses scotland
Not so much putting him in but, perhaps a week or so of him and ourselves if that's possible working on his training. I wouldn't want to send him away if there was not the option for someone to go with him. As I think it would help for myself to also be there for his training.
