Re: pups galore
My favourite parts of these sort of conversations are where they tell you with enormous pride that their ooos parents were both KC registered. some try to pass of 'KC reg' as something special when they're only registered with the activity register. :brickwall: There are lots of dogs on the KC Acti...

Re: On the grouse....?
I agree. Ilkley Moor is teeming with tourists (with or without hats!) and its teeming with grouse too! They just sit a few yards from the path watching the tourists go by. It is managed and shot. Around here regular burning of the heather helps to keep it short and healthy, the long woody stuff isn'...

Re: 9 week old cocker testing my patience
Have you spoken to the breeder of your pup? I'm sure most breeders would like to help inexperienced owners of their pups to ensure that they are correctly raised. If I ever bred puppies I would much prefer a buyer contact me with even the silliest question to ensure the well being of those I have br...

Re: Field needed for agility

The thing with agility is you need to train with people/ a trainer more experienced than you so that you don;t get into bad habits or break your dog...

Re: Kronch and skinners? Or raw?
My setters are fed raw - mainly Natural Instinct which is a complete (veg's etc included) and sometimes DAF minced oily fish or chicken necks. If your dog has runny poos it's not doing well on what you are feeding. Try just feeding plain chicken for 3 weeks ( raw or cooked without bones) and see how...

Re: Dog won't jump in back of car
I didn't think large breeds should be jumping into vehicles until 12 months to protect their hips?

Re: Pointing age?
Just stop worrying about pointing. Some point at 8 weeks, some don't point until 2 years old. It will come - just don't get worried about it otherwise you will put too much emphasis on it. And where are your photos please, please.....
