Exercise

Post by Dartmoordog » Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:28 pm

Guys, how much excercise should my, nearly, four month old ESS be getting please.

I cannot believe how I have forgotten so much about pups in the last 10 years!
Be careful what you say about my wife or kids, be VERY careful what you say about my gundogs.

From what I gather something like 2 x 15 min or 2 x 20 min would be ideal, or something like that amount of time made up in whatever way.

This is what my trainer has mentioned for my 4.5 month ESS. Hopefully about right!

As long as you don’t go on forced marches or endless ball chases the pup will self limit its own exercise if you give it the opportunity.

Limit your excersise to the length of his attention span.

Thanks guys, seems to me we are about right, I just did not want to over do it.

My spaniel is 7 and still doesn't 'limit' himself!
