This forum is readable by anyone who cares to look, please only put up telephone numbers and email addresses if you are sure you don't mind them being available to all and sundry. A land line number also gives a good clue as to your whereabouts, easy enough to research on line. With the current spate of thefts this is not a good idea. You also leave yourselves wide open to nuisance calls & Spam, most of us get enough of those without gifting people our details.

In future the Mods won't be removing telephone numbers or emails, we will leave it to you to decide whether its worth the risk.

These are great and so are the short ones used for keys or as a short whistle holder :!: I've had mine for ages and I am very jealous of it and refuse to let ANYONE touch it......................just in case :!:

Kangaroo leather seems to be regarded as the best kind of leather for braiding. It is a bit thinner through, a lot more expensive! and is certainly much stronger when braiding it, but I've never had a lanyard break while I've been wearing it even when it's been caught on a fence or tree! I've had a few people say their dog has chewed it! I'm hoping that, as the colours are dyed through in the tannery, the paler colours such as pink, yellow will keep their colour well, as when I have hand-dyed them in the past , as the natural leather weathers and darkens underneath the dye, they all go more browny.

Up to four in a four-strand if it is the pre-dyed leather.
