In 1983 I was trekking to Everest in Nepal which took me through rhoddie forests. That's where ours came from. Over there they grow to huge tree size. I had picked up a small discarded branch and was very slowly whittling it into a walking stick with a Swiss army knife. A Gurkha came along, and took it off me. He attacked it with his kukrhi and in 2 minutes presented me with a stripped walking stick that I still have. He didn't say a word just disappeared down the mountain.

Fascinating people the Gurkhas. I've worked with them for years, a lot of respect for them

Old news! Glad Joanna Lumley helped get the Ghurkas residency here they deserve it if anyone does.

Meanwhile, back at the thread, stick anyone?
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

I won't make my own but plan to buy one, since i broke my ribs i feel a need for a bit of support in life. But, what i want to know is the lenght!? What's the comfy lenght for stomping around or hanging around both looking and feeling cool?
