Diesel at 6 months
Re: Diesel at 6 months
I'm guessing you got him from Verstone? Who is the sire?

Lovely pic, they are so cute when they transform from a plump little pup into a long legged gazelle. Hmm black and white springers are rather good looking, never thought about that before. I haven't seen that many, are they more rare than the brown and white?

Yes he's one of Derek's dogs at Verstone and his sire is "Max". A young black and white dog powerfully built which is for me is perfect sire. Dam was "Flo" who is as smart as a new pin and has the cute appeal. Not sure on the ratio brown and white to black and white but he just stood out in the litter for me and the wife. We called up three times before we finally took him home and he was always the one that came to us which sealed the deal in our minds.
So far he has got the basics sorted and I'm now working on retrieve which is game number one at the moment.

I used to own Max (megandice inkspot), but sold him to Derek. He was called Mac when I owned him.

Cracking dog you sold there and as you can see he has produced some serious quality animals. As a young pup we had two lambs to bottle feed so Diesel is now bomb proof with our sheep.
Re: Diesel at 6 months
Did you see him, or see him work?
He's grown into quite a big dog, he reminds me of the dragon on never ending story.

Yes saw him four times when we called up to see Diesel and he's a cracking looking dog. If Diesel grows to be just the same I will be one hell of a happy owner. I'm so suprised how intelligent he is and it's as if he knows what to do and is teasing me. He puts up pheasants on our silage fields with ease and yet when he found a pheasant with chicks under her wings he stopped and just looked without pushing her off...how does he know?
You can tell I'm so very pleased with him and I know I've become the owner of a little black and white gem. Or sometimes black and yellow after dashing around the buttercups
