Im camping, how do you get to be in the gundog area ? I just booked on the cla website and end up in the normal area.
Last time I camped was last year no the north devon coast, in what seemed like a hurrican. So I would live with rain but not a gale
To get on the Gundog Camping area you have to be "doing" something for the CLA .... a demo, being the SPD etc. For those who've been to Belvoir before on Gundog Camping .... it's been completley rearranged apparently and is in a different place a long way from the Sporting Dog Pavilion .... that's what the camping organisers have told me anyway!!

I'll be there Saturday, my two chocolate things and a Collie. Just incase a lot of people turn up with that - I'll be with a friend who has a hairless Chinese Crested. That'll make us easier to spot! I'll also be the one storming into the scurry bit grabbing Louie because he's not retrieving but peeing up bales (He's not having a go on this one!)

Hi Sue .... Passes were received by "contact people" yesterday apparently .... mine are being sent on by 1st class post so heaven help us ... our postal service is dreadful!! I don't know WHY they've left it so late to send them out this year!

I can top that one - at Highclare two years ago Lucy went out like a rocket, picked the dummy then stopped on the way back for a long and drawn out crap, after which she lost interest in retrieving. I wanted the ground to swallow me up!

I don't want to top it! He did fantastic last year at Chatsworth show! No weeing up hay bales or anything.. But nope. Had to be a plank and do it at a little dog show. So now there's no chance of him doing it at a big one - where you lot might be watching!
I've seen dogs take a crap too whilst retrieving. They still held the dummy though and then carried on. I've seen them leap fences to go over to other retrieves too.
