Training book
Whats a good training book that you guys would recommend for Labradors that also trains the owner as well? I have gun dog made easy but fancy something else as well.
Re: Training book
Where do you start? There's so many! The made easy one, is that the eric begbie ?if so I bought that and also bought the gun dog clubs ' passing grade 1' and found it very useful. It explains what to do when things go wrong as well.
Dvd's are useful, the mullenscote ones are good value. there are also some fantastic clips on this forum by Shropshire gundogs.
Back to books, amazon have a good range of second hand ones at good prices.

Re: Training book
Retriever Training by Susan Scales is one of the better ones in that it's easy to understand.
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

A really good softcovered book that is easy to understand is The Pet Gundog by Lez Graham. She has also written a follow up called The Advanced Pet Gundog and is in the throes of a third book Training Puppy Gundogs.
