Set back a little like this to stop the wind from blowing straight into the bedding area from the pop hole

Re: Photo's of the progress of the kennels
It would appear that i have dropped a bit of a clanger...on Sunday i painted the concrete base with quick drying garage floor paint....when i checked the instructions (after i had painted
) it recommended not to use it in temperatures below 10c and it was about 8c when i did it...."close enough i thought" but it would appear not....it still ain't gone off and now it has rained and the water has got into the still wet paint...any ideas anybody..?

I wanted to put a false roof on if you like...as i think this will keep the heat in (all the walls have cavity insulation so im hoping it'll be quite warm...
The false roof will be made by fixing a frame all the way round the shed just...it will be in too parts which are hinged, in summer the side above the bob hole can be fastened up permanently allowing the dog to go under the false roof in its bed or on top of the false roof which can have a mat fitted to it to it for a day bed... The side with the main door is hinged also for access for myself the the dogs bed....
Open to your thoughts...good or bad..![]()
I have done exactly what you have drawn in the above photo. When i get back at the end of the week i'll post a photo of it.
A but late, but hay ho.
This is what i have done in my kennel set up.
Heres my kennel.

Its overgone some modification the last couple of months in preparation of winter. Instead of having a 6ft x 4ft bed area, i have boxed a bedding area in, so that i can have a storage area for my outdoor kit. I have insulated, walls, flooring and ceiling of the bed area.

Kennel complete with laminate flooring. It was left over from a job. As most other materials.

For the pop hole i have attached a transparent Vinyl sheet on a form of hinge, it does the job, stops most of the draughts, but not too air tight. My father in law got this from a place by his work.
