Re: Diets (spaniels)
OMG Vicky, finally a vet that has done some research on feeding and admitted that dogs need meat protein and fat! Not Hills Science Diet! I am impressed.
I stuck my neck out a few years ago and changed my dogs over to a high meat/high protein diet, and some of the comments I got (particularly from spaniel owners) about how it would wind them up and make them too hot to handle were incredible. There is so much myth surrounding high protein dog foods. Hopefully your article will help explode this myth and mis-information.

Any chance of a link to that article online? For those of us who can't get our hands on the publication proper? - Would like to give it a read.vicky payne wrote:I've just done a lot of research on this and if you buy Sporting Shooter in December it's all in there!

In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.
