I will say - pick something that sounds nothing like Keely.

I have Sadie, Benjie, Louie and Pennie - all ie on the end and I have to shorten their names if I want to call them separate. So we have Sadez, Benj, Lou and Pen. They get confused otherwise.

I suppose that cancels a few of the names out then - phew :-D But i'll probably have come up with another 10 names before we go to collect her

developing into a lovely looking dog

I always go for 1 syllable names, sharper and simpler for the dog, definitely best to have a name that sounds different to the other dogs with at least one hard consonant.

Our current collies are Gyp and Glen so Bryn is different again. Other recent dogs have been Teal(ESP), Tanya (ESPx), Max(ESPx), Fred (old English) Floyd (cavalier). Collies have included (dogs) Spot, Kess, Kite, Watt, (bitches) Nell, Jet, Fly, Meg, Jan, Midge.
