I ran on a Saturns Spirit pup last year whose dam was a Whitehope Vino by Clarburgh Art and tbh I don't think they are for the faint hearted.
He was incredibly quick at learning both in good ways and bad ways, he was was a bit like driving a ferarri so you will probably need your wits about you :-D
he has now gone onto to be a detection dog and I can only say that talking to his trainer yesterday that she openly says he is one of the best and most
confident dogs she has had and is thinking of keeping him back for herself.
The bitches who I still see from time to time seem to be coming on in leaps and bounds and are very definitely trial potentials for next season.
Would I have a another of that breeding, Oh Yes as never come across a pup that got under my skin like he did.
However I would make sure I it wasnt the tail wagging the dog next time, and all his faults were of my making not his

:rotfl: not even close
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

You wouldn't go wrong with either. Spirit is a hard dog, one if the hardest out there. Babbler is also a tough one yet sensible enough to qualify for the championship in four trials with a novice handler.

I would also add that it doesn't have to be a FTCH to add what you want into the line, im sure Babbler will be made up so by using him now there wont be that many pups out there by him already.
You will need to put some miles in to use the right dog at times, I wouldnt hold on untill the bitch is ready to be covered to either go and see or sort out what dog you decide on.
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

I've just used Flaxdale Ember on my bitch, a top dog that won an open with a novice handler and would of gone further but for an injury.

Also worth noting when I spoke to Will Clulee recently the owner of Spirtit he told me there were only two dogs in the country he would consider buying. Samsir Babbler being one of them.
