Saw this one advertised in the shooting mags and wondered what it is like.

will be approximately 3 hours drive - so i am asking is it worth the trip.

Some years yes. Some years no Ruth. It's partially indoors and more of a country fair than some of the game fairs. All the usual stands with some local produce type companies too.
BASC run some their scurries and working tests which always draw a crowd.
We're going Saturday.

We are not going this year. We normally get free entry because we help out but even that and the discount at the eye clinic does not make the 21/2 hour journey and associated fuel costs worth it. There are some great things, some good things, more mediocre things and an increasing number of tat!

Sad, as this used to be one of the highlights of our year - no doubt having said all that, this year it will buck the trend and be back to the fantastic event it used to be.

We are planning to pop down on Sunday
Just to have a mooch around although its £30 for the family to get through the door

But I want to see whats about and take a few pics if possible of dogs in action etc, and the Kids will enjoy it

I have just come back from the fair. It was bitterly cold but I did enjoy the scurries and Caddie my little springer came 3rd in the BASC working test.
