Many drugs are only available on prescription for very good reasons, please do not promote illegal practises on open forum. Breaking the Law and risking a large fine is up to the individual, of course, promoting illegal purchases on this forum is against forum rules.

Not only illegal, but how can you be sure that the drugs are genuine and safe, and (if they are) that they have been stored under correct conditions - usually require a cool dry place.

Yes; something has irritated him- he'd be a bit young for food intolerance but parasites and household chemicals could be a problem. No....he probably just enjoys scratching his ears! have you put a collar on him? Puppies hate collars and they induce mucho scratching...but they must learn to live with them!
The one ear has wax and stinks! We have an appointment with the vet tomorrow afternoon.

DesO'Neile wrote:It can be difficult to see wax, especially if your dog is black or liver. Rub your wee finger round the outer ear and if it comes away looking as if you rubbed it in marmite that's the wax. I haven't had any split ears, common in pointers when you don't know what you are at, since I started using Thornit Ear Canker Powder. The nice bit about Thornit is that you just put it in the outer ear. The mites take it deep inside as they move about the inner ear and commit Hari Kari. Great stuff. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Dogs don't really do things like pick their noses but if they have something annoying them and you let it become a habit they will continue with it even after you have cured the original outbreak.
If when you lift the ear flap you can actually see the wax on the inside you have been very remiss.
Des took your advice and got some Thornit from UKVet £9 a wee bottle. Had the pup on it three days and its looking great, mightly impressed mate.

My vet will give me a perscription for £5 and I can buy Advacate from Barbados or the dark side of the moon if I please totally legitimately. I can also buy it across the counter in The Republic of Ireland. Most times medicine is needed there and then on the spot so using a perscription is at best impractical but it is my understanding that a vet is obliged to issue you with a perscription if you ask.

I guess the law in Eire must be different to the UK then. Here it is definitely prescription only so see your vet if your dog needs it, either ask for a prescription or support your vets and buy it off them.
