I plan to breed from my bitch next year, I have a few prospective studs in mind, but am always keen to take advice and listen to suggestions. Obviously it's difficult to comment specifically if you do not know the bitch but I'm happy to hear people's thoughts in a generalised manner.
She is a very small bitch, no taller than a cocker dog, despite this she is a well built wee thing. I'd be looking for a bruiser of a stud with a lot of drive, hard hunting and with a great retrieve....standard requirements I guess. The bitch is sired by Buccleuch Pepper out of Woodstorm Avril ( the sire and dam's pedigrees can be found online) and wood be looking for a dog compatible with her breeding.
Well, as I say happy to hear suggestions but I may just be met by a wall of forum silence
We have just used Helmsway Hawk of Witchwillows and we are really pleased with them really strong busy pups. Also although it makes no difference to the pups we found George to be a really good guy who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We left our bitch with him as she was a maiden bitch with total confidence.
I had a white hope vino saturns spirit pup that's was definitely not for the faint hearted very very fast but too hard for me to handle
I would be torn between putting more Edwardiana back or or using spirit for an out cross and very popular puppies at the minute
The other thing is what type of dog you like Edwardiana very classy typical springers and Spirit stuff very heavily marked and bit strange looking til they grow up
I am on the waiting list for a lovely spirit bitch pup as I want to put my dog over it who has Edwardiana g parents so hoping to have my own home bred dream pup in the future
I would try to have a look at what appeals to you and work from there lots of lovely dogs out there at the minute
OFTW Samsir Babbler, not that well known because he qualified in just four trials with newcomer to trialling. Speak to those that have seen him run and saw his Open win.
He's a top quality dog with great lines behind him
I always ask myself and those that ask my advice, what is your bitches strong and weak points and what would you like to improve on. Also, who are you planning to sell to and what are you wanting the pups for, trialling or general purpose shooting dog. No point in putting a fast stylish dog on her which is hard to hold if you want level headed pups that are going to general shooting homes.

I see lots of litters as part of my job and the shooting dog x shooting dog pups bred to be easy to train and steady to work sell much quicker than FTAW x FTCH or shooting dog x FTCH UNLESS you are a well known breeder. Think about the dog you want to keep first and foremost but think about the saleability of the rest of the litter too. No advice on who to use but good luck!

Possibly that says more about your'e clients than a general trend....
As far as answering the OP's question Edwardiana Rob is a well built dog, Dawson Lee Chance is another leggy dog who smashes cover and is stylish on rabbits.
