Kennel floor paint
Re: Kennel floor paint
Cow matting works quite well, though I use it for inside the kennel (boxed area) not the concrete.

Re: Kennel floor paint
Hi.
Did anybody use the renotex paint in the end?
It would be good to see some pic's if poss'?.
am going to try it,the guy rekon's stuff must go on floor very thin with mix of 15% thinners to start with.(new concrete)
I would be interested to see if the same guidlines given to others who may of used this stuff.it seems top stuff with a longer life than the 2 pack resins..time will tell!!

Re: Kennel floor paint
I put Renotex down 12 months ago and it's in a terrible state now. He never mentioned using thinners and I asked his advice. I am now even considering laying mastic asphalt, just the black colour being less preferable. Renotex has been an expensive let down and now going to have to take down the kennel sections whichever way u decide to go. Anyone tried mastic asphalt?
Re: Kennel floor paint
Just a word of advice from a builder for the people who are building kennels in future to save painting them etc etc is to use waterproof concrete or an additive in it to aid it , we use it in basements and swimming pools and it works , it is alot more expensive than traditional concrete but it probably saves money in the long run when you take out the cost of specialist paint and tools not to mention the extra time involved
Re: Kennel floor paint
I ended up tiling the bedding area and putting underfloor heating in, but the remaining painted section is holding up well.

Re: Kennel floor paint
That looks a really impressive set up t jack
Re: Kennel floor paint
I used a 2 pack floor resin and it was a nightmare to put down and it was crap so I needed up tiling straight over it within 2weeks.
Tiles work great, you can just run the mop straight over them to clean, would defo recommend.

Cracking set-up tjack! I used an anti slip pu floor paint by flag, reasonable price and still going strong for me but would probably tile given another chance and a bit more money
