What's the best DVD, as I don't do books.!
Just on my way to collect my IWS, and I know I have my hands full.!
Can't be bothered reading the books, so what is best DVD to use for a bit of knowledge...
Also which is the best priced, as I'm not keen to spend £99.99 on 3 DVD's....!!!!!

Go and see a professional trainer, it will be money well spent.... & ask question on here!
Re: What's the best DVD, as I don't do books.!
All of the trainers I have spoken to in NI, want to take the dog for 9+ weeks and do it at there kennels.!
I want to do this myself, if you know what I mean.

Joe Irvings book, training spaniels, is better than any DVD you'll buy, & miles cheaper. The problem with all these things is they dont tell you what to do when the wheels come off, thats why its good to read things on this place...

I won't make any friends with this remark, but....

I'd suggest that if you want to train your own gundog but "can't be bothered" with the minimal effort involved in reading a book, you ought to buy a hamster instead.Amos wrote: Can't be bothered reading the books....

I have never been a great reader of books, and I don't find it enjoyable. That is why I past comment reference the DVD's.!
Thanks for your comment, as it did give me a laugh.
Thanks again.

Is this your first dog? Have you done any obedience training with a dog before - sits, lie down, come when called and stay?
If you haven't then I think you may need some help from a Gundog Club or even an Obedience Club, learning it all from DVDs would be very hard.
To give you some idea of what you will need to do try the Mullenscote DVDs they are not expensive @ £20 and I have heard they are OK.

In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

Lad was only asking a question this is a advice forum not sarcastic forum
If you want to train your dog like they do over the pond just get a shock collar
