So did I. Bet someone was in serious shit after filming finished.
I thought I was going to be patronised and treated like an idiot, but I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week, about the background of gundogs.
the guy probably does have a cockerpoo, those DNA tests are not very accurate and what bull the bloke was saying about them as well..it has a white flash on its chest so that shows it's a springer....errrr plenty of cockers have white flashes on their chests and let's face it, cockers and springers were the same breed a 100 years a go (give or take). Wouldn't waste my money on one of those tests
Was pleasantly surprised, quite looking forward to next week.
David you'd be surprised. I'm involved in Clan DNA project focusing on the Y (male) chromosome, as I understand it, its largely down to common alleles between individuals which in turn can be grouped into haplotypes who share the same markers (presumably breed type in dogs). Mutations within these alleles change at fairly standard intervals so you can calculate how many generations the separation from the ancestry event occurred.

Alternatively, it might prove what we have suspected for a while - that cockers are actually sprockers...
