Using quail to steady

I would prefer to use feral pigeons if I could get some. I've tried pest controllers and I've put a trap out to no avail. I got offered some cheap quail off a game farm I called looking for some partridge so I took them, hoping I could use them.

If their no use for spaniels I'll give them to to misses's father who trials pointers if their more suited to pointing breeds. But I was hoping to use them on my spaniels

Bobwhite quail are considered to be the best for gundog training. Hope you've got things rat proof because they love them.
