Which Wellies

Post by druid »

It is time to replace my aigle neoprene lined Wellies, but they are so expensive. What is everyone else wearing?

I've noticed recently new wellies have come onto the market for those that get cold feet & theres wellies out now with extra tyre like tread!

I'm dreading the day my aigles give out. 5 years in and if they go tomorrow I'll be paying over double what I did 5 years ago. But value for money wise I'm saving in readiness.

I have been using a pair of Muck Boots this season - the ones with the deeper tread and they are brilliant. Not exactly a fashion statement but ... feet comfortable and warm and --- they dont leak at all. Had them in really deep water too as well as trecking through a valley with ankle deep water for what seemed miles!! Just hope I havent put the 'muckers on them' and they leak next time out!! :o

I have Aigles which work well with trousers but are a bit floppy with breeks. Which aigle make will suit the fella wearing breeks?

my aigles have a strap on the side which you can tighten.

Another Aigle fan here. Would recommend the neoprene lined ones though, I made the mistake of buying the un-lined ones which can be blooming cold!

I have had muck boots until recently, lasted a year, and then recently cracked on the back, just above the heel on both feet. Until then, very comftable. During the season, I was out in them 6 days a week, and covering a fair bit of ground.
