2015 Planned Cocker Litters

Post by Longy0710 »

As Christmas and the New year grow ever closer, thoughts turn to next years litters and I was wondering what litters people were already looking forward to. I will be attending the Champs this year for a good look at some of the competitors but I feel sure a few people on here will already know of planned litters and potential matings.

Just a little conversation starter as I will be looking after the new year

As well as my own planned litter, I've just heard about a very special mating between two cocker championship winners! Watch this space

You can't drop a hint like that and leave us all hanging Scott!!

Who are you planning on using, and I am guessing it will be over Fern?

I can reveal no more lol.

Yeah Fern this year, I want to keep at least one pup back to run. In two minds which sire to use at the moment, just weighing up my options and might try something a little different.

There's a few at the moment which are jumping out at me, I just have to make a decision.

FTCH Moelfamau Griffon - Championship Winner and would have two lines to Argyll Warrior in the pups pedigree
FTCH Tudorbriar Moonwarrior - 3rd in 2013 Championship and son of two Championship winners
FTCH Tiptopjack Dime - Diplomas in 2012 and 2013 championships and son of two championship winners
FTW Beggarbush Freddy - Two 2nds and then a win on Ice in AVs against springers and son of two championship winners

I've just got to weigh up which one best compliments Fern and I feel can improve on her now. It's a very difficult thing this stud selecting lark, can't guarantee anything and everytime you think you've made a decision, something pops up which makes you question your judgement

The "following" concept doesn't quite work as well on the forum as it does on the BookFace, but here I am ... following.

I'm looking for a future cocker pup also. I'm looking for 2016 so a bit too soon possibly for me, but the subject matter here will be very useful to follow none-the-less.

I'm going to put my bitch by Mallowdale Zander into pup with Argyll Warrior - I was going to do it on this season but decided to wait until her next one when the pups'll be born when it's a bit warmer!
