Dog Food Comparison Site..
This is a very useful site when researching dog foods, thought I'd post it as it's a regularly asked question and it's a useful resource I think.

Criky .... i have just been on this site and compared all the food i have used over the years and they all turn out to be rubbish !
I am in the process of looking for a additive and colour free food for ted as this has been found to be part of his trouble. Now all my previous research has been shot down in flames.posting.php?mode=reply&f=14&t=21139#

That should last a cocker 3-4 days. Doesn't seem too excessivewoolie wrote:yes i looked at raw but at £3 for a 1.4kg tub. it dont sit high on my list.

Yes it sounds expensive but a 1.4kg tube feeds my Darcy for 4 days at 350 grams a day. So, the cost works out at 75p a day plus about 20p postage making 95p a day for top notch super healthy dog food. Highly reccommended.

Hair splitting but a £22 sack of dog food lasts my three Cockers around four weeks, they manage two or three days a week picking up without flagging, suits my pocket and them, reckon that's about 30p a day? Plus a few left overs, occasional eggs and tins of fish ( one tin sardines between them, magnanimous, me). Feed what suits both your pocket and the dogs and don't stress about it nor feel pressurised into feeding any one food be it raw or cooked.

According to my wife my 3 cockers plus one Brittany costs about £8 per week to feed. About £2 per dog. They seem to have abundant energy . I agree with Judy, don't get carried away with "studies" of dog foods. Study your own dogs and see what suits them.

Re: Dog Food Comparison Site..
Well my cocker is a fussy little sod we have tried her on all sorts of stuff from burns dry to pedigree wet and after a few days she seems to get bored however she never bores of our home made doggie hotpot,( vegetables rice chicken/beef) 10g once a day and some scrambled egg or tuna with a mixer for breakfast. Does the above sound ok or should we persevere with burns or similar ?
Muddling along in the hope that one day it starts to make sense.
