Ftch Balmuir Skylark

Post by EssGrouse »

Afternoon all,

I know how the dog in question is bred and who he is handled by, but I'd like to acquire some out of the box opinions.

Has anyone seen him run and could comment on his style, pace, marking , game find ability etc ??? Pups he is throwing......

You can inbox me if it suits, all thoughts welcome.

I'm only asking him because I'm thinking of using him at stud next year.

I will also speak to Mick aswel when I next see him.

He has only had 1 litter so far Liam. Paul Cassidy has 1 from the litter. Litter number 2 will hopefully be conceived during or just after the champs! Also Liam have you watched the 2014 champs I did this week and he has a very impressive 1st run

You know me, i always like a nosey at pedigree's..... even though im always reminded a piece of paper never wins a trial :o

I've a full sister from another litter a couple of years apart, she's just turned two, ran her this season and had numerous placing's but not had luck my way with game on both runs, if I could have a kennel full like her id be more than happy, I seen Micks runs the last championships and was impressed with the dog, he was unlucky to go out imho after been asked to stop for a long time as the other side were on a retrieve he clicked the dog off again and immediately to his side a bird got up, had he clicked it off the other side the dog would have worked out the ground but that wee patch he didn't cover cost him, many had him as one of their top dogs at that point, if you want a do or die attitude to a dog then this mating seems to have that, but with that brings its own issues  :-D

I'd agree with tj, bags of style, but like most good uns it's a bit quirky. Best ask mick how he's got on with it. I'm surprised he's not been used more in the last year tbh..

Got a good hard hunting bitch line behind him that I like but every dog I've seen from that Skersmoor line has been an head banger but by ek they can hunt.

Didn't get chance to watch the DVD but I will over the next few days.

Cheers

Rossi is very nice animal fast stylish and very consistent performer this being his second championship the dog is sound in every way. I too have a sister of him from a repeat mating its a full sister to t jacks bitch and ive placed 3 times in novice trials this season just being unlucky not to go further and as t jack said if I could have a kennel full of dogs like her I would be a happy man indeed. Im sure if u get In contact with mick he will answer any questions you have micks a nice guy hope his dog sees some more use in the future.

Cheers for the responses gents, I will speak to Mick and also keep tabs of Jims litter also.

My bitch is a good size bitch possessing great speed and style, drive through the roof, on a knife edge. I could do with something giving it an off switch while retaining the natural ability, size, speed and style....

She is OfTW Blackmagic X OFtw Rosebay Hailey, so I was looking for something to tie back to the Edwardiana Line.

Mating would be 2016 anyhow but better to go in armed as they say.
