storing dried food

Post by hprfan »

Just wondering what arrangements ppl have when buying several bags at a time. I had a black plastic bin in the yard but was pestered with slugs getting into it between lid and body, a tiny bloomin gap i might add. Does anyone have a hopper where they take from the bottom?

If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

However you store the kibble, keep the bags with the batch numbers (or just cut out the batch numbers) then if there is a problem and items are recalled, you know whether you have a dodgy batch or not. Doesn't happen often but decent kibble is not cheap and if you are buying several bags at a time they are likely to be all the same batch.
