Just wondered if anyone had experience of importing a puppy in from Denmark to the UK ??? how they did it (ie, themselves or via a third party) and also if anyone knows the regulations on importing. Pup/s would be 8 weeks plus.

Don't know of anyone bringing a pup in from Denmark, but would think it is the same as Germany, CZ Rep etc, in that the pup has to go through certain vacs including rabies, flea/tick etc, certified and certificated by a Vet, generally by the time the pup gets to you it's about 15-16 wks old. If you google It it will give you the run down.
I have witnessed some very good working GSD's, Mals and Dutch herders but be careful as as usual, the unscrupulous breeders have jumped on the band wagon and a lot of people have been done! If you know the breeder personally that saves a lot of worry as you will know who you are dealing with and what to expect. As for transportation, there are now lots of people who are licensed who transport from the continent on a weekly basis.

Yes I know the breeder, they actually purchased the dam of the pups from us and we are possibly interested in purchasing one of her progeny back so quite happy about the breeder, just wondered if anyone had any experiences about bringing a pup in to the UK as it is different than taking a pup out to Denmark. Thanks
