Vicky wins at Crufts
Re: Vicky wins at Crufts
I would never call anyone that MG, my preferred terms of endearment are much better than that and are saved for special occasions!
Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it.

Re: Vicky wins at Crufts
I can't post a photo at the mo as I'm in a poor signal zone but needless to say I am over the moon.
Quincy is now 11 1/2 and my only dog who can legally compete (not BASC or the KCs fault). He did dogging in most days from August and beating on the village shoot most Saturdays so I thought, what the hell, let's do Crufts one last time. Quince loves the attention and I just wanted him to do himself justice...I never expected to win against two lovely show type springers.
So, we had a lovely day. But there were very few spaniels entered. Will our name be the last on the cup?

Wonderful... Well done both of you.

His name will be on the cup again next year, Vicky - presume he'll be back to defend his title.

Re: Vicky wins at Crufts
He's definitely retired now!
Dogs must either belong to a gamekeeper (gamekeepers classes) or be a regular member of a beating/ picking up team (working gundog classes) to qualify. On the day they are judged as all the other show classes on; compared to breed standard taking into account they have recently finished a season in the field. Their conformation is assessed in a stand, then they are assessed on the move.
