Re: Working test training day
Really wanted to come down to this Andy, but I already have plans that day.
Do you plan to have more weekend WT training days for novice spaniels over the summer? Would definitely be interested if you are.

Re: Working test training day
I aim to do at least one a month, usually post them on FB. Next one will be a rabbit pen training session 18th/25th April tbc
Re: Working test training day
Andy's an excellent trainer with a good sized well stocked rabbit pen.
Well worth a trip.

Re: Working test training day
Great. Andy is about 90 mins from me so for a couple of hours training I don't mind the drive, plus I have a friend who lives close by who also wants to go (although she has more experience than me).
Andy - I've been told by my trainer that a rabbit pen is the next step for my cocker, but I'm not totally convinced that we are ready for it yet, plus he doesn't have immediate access to one. I think he wanted to use it as a way of firing up my lacklustre hunter and I don't have the experience to know if that is just a lazy way of getting her moving or if it really will help.
Do you set any prerequisites for dogs and handlers joining those days, do they need to be able to have a certain level of steadiness/game experience to get the most out of the session?
(I can move this to PM if my questions are straying from the purpose of the original post).
