Back after a long lay off

Post by MDP »

Hi All

I used to come on here quite a bit a few years back (maybe 3 or so). At the time i had a working cocker Billy who i was training and managed to get him up to rough shooting standard. Anyway, i lost Billy during a nasty divorce process and have been sorting everything out since then.

I've now relocated down near Worcester (Malvern) and think its time i started looking to get another dog. I'm looking for a working cocker, not a pup but not a part trained dog either. Around the 6-12 month markn and pretty much a blank canvas. With view to trial (not bothered if it doesnt set the world on fire) and do the working tests in the summer.

I remember there was a member on here called 'James' who i think was Worcester/Hereford way, once i have the right dog i will be looking to book in for some lessons with him (i think he used to do them?).

Cheers
Mike

Hello! Welcome back! Yes, your memory is good, James is your man, not too far from you and yes he still does lessons. PM him, he may be able to help on the dog front too.

Well, pup bought, collect mid July. Extremely pleased with the pup and ended up going for a springer as opposed to a cocker. 8 weeks old but built like a bull.

Looking forward to it

I remember your signature line from way back when, sorry to hear things have been rubbish, but glad you've got a proper spaniel this time ;)
cheers,
Alice.
