Last season I worked mine at big commercial shoot called Glassonbury in Goudhurst and also a small shoot called 6 o'clock lodge in wittersham. Where snouts do you know in this area?

Naj, a thoroughly interesting read..its the first time I have seen it..You obviously were trialling in the golden years. I also saw Peter Combes run his dogs who were extremely efficient in their pattern...not oversized as most tend to think of the badgercourt line. Only Sirius, the last Badgercort Lion is still throwing pups and he is in his last days. Emma Lene was bred by Bob Longville from his own Kongvilles Sally...an excellent shooting bitch. She was then sold to Keith Erlandson. Bob ran Dandelion of Gwibernant for Keith Carter as Keith was otherwise engaged and Bob was a very good amateur. I disagree that the old bloodlines are lost, I tend to think they re occur, rather like the throwback theory...adding to that same blood from time to time strengthens that type. I agree that new lines can be soft, lacking drive but I also feel we overtrain, rather like Pete Combes did, taking away the natural prey drive. We introduce dogs far too early to game and breed before they mature.
