I read books, watched DVDs and went to tests and trials and watched and listened, still do....Stihl 090 wrote:But at least he is asking and hopefully being guided by the helpful answers he has had to his thread. We all have to start somewhere. I don't suppose for a minute you knew it all when you started out.

Re: Studding My Dog.
A quick update for those interested, John called in to our session for a short while tonight, we had a quick chat and he watched what was happening in the novice class and he has said he will come along and participate next week, so we will get a better idea as to where he and his dog Jed are then.
Re: Studding My Dog.
Thank you Redrob for your help to a novice - I wish more people on the forum would be as helpful as you have been.
Re: Studding My Dog.
Apologies Anarchy84 for my tongue in cheek post earlier in the thread, but your initial post read much like that of someone wishing to provoke a response, and there have been many over the years on this forum and others. I hope your dog does well and you enjoy your gundogs.

Thanks everyone.
Re: Studding My Dog.
The name means no masters. Nothing to do with the media description of Anarchy. I just have no faith in the government or the banks and consider them slavers. I don't see how that affects my ability to learn about gundogs.westcountry wrote:Anarchy, the name gives it away really. As a newcomer to this forum site I have received good advice that has helped me achieve what I wanted to achieve regarding training. There are genuine gundog trainers on this site who are worth listening to.
Ratting? Labradoodles? Springadors? Sprussells?
Got to be taking the Pi55 RIGHT?
Re: Studding My Dog.
Have to say I don't see that as being a user name to inspire confidence either!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchy Much more likely to be something chosen by somebody intent on trolling hence, I suspect, the jokey attitude taken by the forum regulars who have had to put up with one or two people joining and rejoining this forum purely to create mayhem. If you are genuine please persevere they are mostly a helpful lot on here, if not, well, time will tell...
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

Well maybe now you know us a little better you will understand a little teasing......Anarchy84 wrote:Anyway. Back to my original question.
What are the most sought after lines in ESS breeding?
For recent consistent ESS winners you need to be looking at Helmsway, Buccleuch/Annickview, Edwardiana, Craighaar, Rothievale/Edgegrove - in fact for most of them you should be looking at my health tested rubbish at www.sgurr.org.uk

Re: Studding My Dog.
If owners of bitches consider your dog to be worth breeding from, they will ask to use him.
Inside every springer, no matter how well trained, is an idiot trying to get out

I hope so. I'm nowhere near being asked yet but I have big plans. That's if Jed can control his urge to hump everything.madrags wrote:If owners of bitches consider your dog to be worth breeding from, they will ask to use him.
