Do you have the external Scout 73? If so does it need to be plugged into the mains and is there a cable provided to do this as i cant find any information on the cable provided anywhere on the net.
I would need a 10 metre cable at least.

Before becoming too paranoid and going out and spending money on more security, lights and CCTV do we actually know how bad this problem is? There seemed to be a lot of stories in the press about this a couple of years ago but not so much now?
I hear plenty of stories but luckily, don't actually know of anyone who's dogs have been taken. There must be similarities in how the dogs are taken and what sort of property they are taken from?
I assume its more of a problem in rural areas than in town? I'd imagine that its easier to steal dogs from an open garden in the country than one enclosed at the back of a house down a cul-de-sac.
I was at Dave's a couple of days after this took place, he was gutted to say the least. I believe he lost 3 12 month old ESS and a CS, found a young Lab in the lane which probably jumped from the car whilst making there escape, so could of been 5.
I guess there are two types of thieves then. Organised thieves who target numerous well trained dogs from top kennels and then the opportunists who may spot a kennel and take a look to see what they find?
Would the 'professional' thieves that hit Countryways be interested in taking an average shooting companion suffering bad habits from a garden kennel I wonder
When buying dogs the purchaser needs to take some responsibility to ensure, as best they can, that everything is in order. These dogs are going somewhere and it isn't to train pitbulls.
I find that 8 stone of bad tempered Doberman is pretty good at discouraging people from entering your property - certainly put the auld yin "Trekmoor" on the back foot when he saw it !!
It frightens me that brute but if it frightens my pup I 'll bloomin terrify it !
