south Wales clubs ?
Hi all, im looking to start some basic gundog training with my lab. Does anyone know of any clubs in South Wales? I live near swansea but am prepared to travel. Ive tried contacting the gundog club and the breeder but no success yet.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
I to live in south wales, near Cardiff, I have tried to find a club to take my springer spaniel too, but without much success. There is a club in Carmarthen http://www.gundogs-wales.co.uk/ but its a bit to far for me to travel. I am taking mine to a trainer near Ogmore for some 1-2-1 training. Hope you find somewhere soon.

Hello folks
I have awaited to join training classes in Camarthenshire, but since I haven't got a car it has been difficult to get a ride there. I live in Swansea, and would like to get some experience with gundogs/hunting/gundog training in general, I have only the knowledge I have gained from this forum and videos so it is very limited.. I am not sure where to begin, so I hope there might be someone out there willing to teach a novice like myself some things. I am quite happy to split fuel costs etc.
Also If you know of anyone training in this area that would be helpful!

Re: south Wales clubs ?
Thank you for the links, no I haven't joined any of these, my bitch is only 6 months and I first and foremost would like to get some help and directions in regards to training before I go on to test her!
Do you know if these clubs arrange training classes or just tests?
I have sent a couple of e-mails to some of these secretaries, so hopefully someone will get back to me! I would not have thought it would be so darn difficult to find a group near me, but I see now that I was probably wrong! I don't understand how people start off with their gundog.. I guess they have a car
