I would reckon a bit of streamlining of organisational/management staff would make it a profitable affair, these things have a habit of unnecessary overheads creeping in through time until the event is no longer viable.

Talking to a friend who regularly has a stand at the CLA, they have been approached by BBC to attend the Countryfile fair and have been told that shooting will be "represented but not actively promoted". You can take from that, that hounds, gundogs, gunmakers row and the like won't be accommodated.

Nooooooooo......  Please tell me Country File aren't going to get their mitts on it, :snooty: they couldn't possibly call it a Game Fair and would be hard pushed to refer to it as a Country Fair! :brickwall: :brickwall:

Apparently there is one at Stoneleigh and one at Belvoir on the same weekend, both claiming to be filling the CLA gap.

The greed associated with running a game fair seems to know no bounds when you now see the number of noses trying to get into the trough. I expect one won't get off the ground, and the one attracting the "best" exhibitors will succeed.
