To shoot 500 aday they would put down, what 7k+ at a guess
I think that is 500 birds put down a year not birds per day

Springfield Pointers wrote:"my dog just listened to me and didn't put a foot wrong the entire day on its first shoot" said no man ever.

:) only joking. Don't worry, just enjoy the day.

Question
When she is hunting if she gets carried away and ventures to far is it best to recall then send her on again or better to stop her and redirect.
(Neither recall or stop is fully reliable when she is committed to the hunt hence I want to work on something specific over the next two weeks) whatever the answer to the above what is the best way to get it solid. Have heard of using a ball as a reward for a stop (she is ball obsessed) is this the way to go maybe.
Ps
She understands both commands just chooses to ignore them sometimes but only when hunting very reliable during training.

Don't give her the option of ignoring...get out after her when she disobeys

Perhaps rereading some of your previous posts re whistle may help? You Need that stop /recall. End of.

Yes indeed I do. I admit that sometimes the more I research the more confused I become. I need a succint method explanation.

Depends on the dog - my Badgercourt dog, scruffed and returned to where he should of stopped/recalled from, cross words and the whistle repeated. Then I return to the original position, give the whistle again and make much of him getting it right. The pup is softer so I just give a growl and pick him up, place him back where he should have responded and return to the original position, give the whistle again and make much of him getting it right.
