microchipped 3 day pups

Post by snipe02 »

Took a 3 day old litter to vet to have tails docked . And he decided to microchip the puppies I suggested this was too early and he said it was fine . The pups have not yet settled seem to be in a lot of pain and one pup seems nearly dead . I'm not a happy camper anyone any input advice or comfort for me please

I don't breed pups but that sounds way too young to me, ring your vet and ask advice quick!

Still phone a vet for advice pronto, he won't kill you, you don't want a pup to die needlessly.

Pup has come around rang another vet he said there is no minimum age for microchipping but it's not recommended before 6 weeks he said pup was probably exhausted by the whole ordeal was happy that she had recovered and was feeding again .
