As a businessman of a large corporation I would be very much surprised he does not surround himself with people who will get the job done. A lot of them will not be political class and that it what is coming over strongly in current political climate with last few elections no matter the country. The general public want change as the old guard and in this case democrats or republican did not support Trump. His own party were lukewarm looking after their own seats in the case of senate and the rest. Well Trump has one thing he must walk the talk but with the right people in his group it will interesting to see what a business leader deals with bureaucracy the stumbling block of many in power. Will he still shoot from the lip or will he tutored in political non speak. All interesting stuff one thing he better deliver what he preached to the middle/working white vote.

I agree Ally, he made a lot of "promises" to a lot of widely varying people. If he completely fails to deliver on his speeches those same people that voted him in will be wanting to lynch him out.
That Hilary Clinton is probably dishonest was well known prior to the election. If Trump, who used her probable dishonesty to score points against her, now proves to be corrupt and dishonest after the election, then pity help him !

I'm not sure how things are done in America but I really don't like Trump being in charge of a nuclear button. I hope his sudden urges to hit people "right in the nose" get toned down very considerably by his staff.

To be honest I can understand why so many of the lower paid Americans voted for him. They must be really p*ssed off with being ignored by their own government. I think I'd have been pi$$ed off too if I lived and worked there.........but maybe not enough to make me vote for him.

Mind you he may not be President for long after his trial for raping a 12 year old happens................................if it does happen!!
Me, Ghillie the Champion, Merlin the Mad. Brittanys were bred as poachers dogs.....They were an extension of the old rogue's arm, trained to look innocent and unprepossessing, all the time plotting, thinking, scheming to make game!

The problem is that you can't run a country like a business. He's been great with popular sound bites that pander to all manner of electorate grievenses but he now has to deal with the politics and politicians. You can see the political mire that we're getting into over Brexit and it will be the same for Trump trying to push through whatever his agenda turns out to be (does anybody know?) against the competing interests of even his own party, not to mention relationships with other countries, former allies or otherwise. Interesting times!

After the UK election, Brexit and now the US election, surley this must signal the end of "polls & polsters"? How many more times can they get it wrong?

Their is safe guards with the nuclear button just like their is with every other president before him, just in case he goes mad and such like.

Theirs polsters and liars, the difference is polsters select a 1000 peeps to make their lies believable, a whole industry is based on this crap including that Glasgow Prof they wheel out at such times. Does he ever get anything right other than stating the bloody obvious.

He may be a "business man" but how many times has he gone bust three or is it four? That doesn't make him a good business man in any way shape or form. God help the Western World cos he wont.
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

I fear that he'll govern the way he has talked. Hope I'm wrong. It doesn't surprise me he got in...after all, if you sow the seed of distrust and can point to false enemies around you, it will work. Nothing new here...Hitler rambled and attacked in his speeches and writings but managed to galvanize a section of the population to win the highest office in the land. I'd say, be prepared for what 'they' wished for : "Change". Pessimistic I am, but, I do hope he does well, for all our sakes.
