Mine's only just getting into its stride! Scenery isn't quite so spectacular though, on the plus side the hills aren't too big for an old'un to climb up.
In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

Stunning ,
Perce , if you walk back over the hill to the right do you come out at Blades , Low Row and the Punchbowl Inn ? We stayed there a few years ago and the grouse around the cottage was amazing

Yes, Low Row is to the right of the picture. It's taken looking East from above Old Gang looking towards Surrender Bridge, the track above the beck is the Coast to Coast route. One of the best drives is shooting this ghyll on a walked up day, the guns walk indian file up the ghyll with a flank of beaters to each side, 360 degree grouse.

Knew it , we walked over from the cottage a few times and down the burn to the road and bridge then back to the pub. That week I spent most of my time watching grouse in the heather. Looked a great place to work the dog.

A burn is something you do to the heather, at the bottom of a ghyll you usually find a beck :-D :-D

I'm lucky to be able to go on the moor at least twice a week during shooting, I wish I could afford the time to do more.
