Credible Cockers!
Re: Credible Cockers!
Not that its anyone's business but Miesque does know a lot about genetics, trust me.
Unless anyone has anything constructive to add I'm locking this thread as its gone round and round without any conclusions being reached and a whole lot of bad feeling appearing. The KC is the governing body, they have to deal with it unless someone is prepared to take the breeders to court and that might get very expensive especially given the fact that Wisdom openly say they wont stand by their results.

In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.

Springers have come as Springer, cocker and Sprocker.Dawnrazor wrote:You continually fail to understand my question and dodge the answer, there are tests that have came springers from springer parents, I've seen them, you clearly have not, if you're not going to answer the very simple, direct question please do not muddy the waters any more with you misdirection, thanks.Miesque wrote:Dawnrazor, again you're missing the point the results are NOT accurate - they fit the allegations.
I'll leave it there.
Cockers have come back as Cocker, Springer and Sprocker
Sere the problem there?
Re: Credible Cockers!
I've explained before - I'm a scientist qualified in animal genetics, genomics and performance breeding who thought I would be helpful by trying to point those involved to the most helpful test to pursue this in the courts.Plainsman wrote:So now you are an expert on fish biology and fish DNA. If someone completes several tests and fills in the box that says cross breed (of any breed) and the results continually come back as either cocker or sprocker how is that luck? Presumably as far as Wisdom are concerned the sample could be from an Alsatian. Perhaps you should reveal your hand and explain your part in this....Miesque wrote:Dawnrazor, again you're missing the point the results are NOT accurate - they fit the allegations. That's not the same thing. It's like guessing the toss of a coin. It's not accurate when you guess right. It's luck. The spaniels will not come back as Boxers etc - they come back as Cocker/Springer/Mix as these two breeds are all but indistinguishable by DNA. Unless you thinking Boxers are also derived from field spaniels.
Plainsman - Those tests for fish are based on huge databases of samples known to be accurate, the exact opposite of the Wisdom panel.
I only run Springers and the odd borrowed Lab so have zero involvement in Sproker gate, sorry to disappoint

Come on, it's sounding like the Spanish Inquisition. People keep providing answers but they're never the right ones. Simply repeating that if you don't believe in the tests then you must be on the other side isn't much if an argument.

Springers have come back as springer and cockers have come back as cockers, this is my point, see your problem there?Miesque wrote:Springers have come as Springer, cocker and Sprocker.Dawnrazor wrote:You continually fail to understand my question and dodge the answer, there are tests that have came springers from springer parents, I've seen them, you clearly have not, if you're not going to answer the very simple, direct question please do not muddy the waters any more with you misdirection, thanks.Miesque wrote:Dawnrazor, again you're missing the point the results are NOT accurate - they fit the allegations.

Naj, no one has answered my question, they keep telling me about the bad results, I'm asking why correct ones come back, how can be more clear?Naj wrote:Come on, it's sounding like the Spanish Inquisition. See Miesque's post above, completely missing my point and banging on about the ones that suit thier argument.
Re: Credible Cockers!
Truth be told we should all be on the same side in this not arguing black is white. As Miesque said its not accurate enough to stand up as evidence in court, simples. IF we could persuade everyone to test for parentage of the suspect litters we could all get back to normality very quickly. If I were the person in question this is what I would be doing - testing parents and progeny of anything I'd bred recently and publishing the results, job done. IF the tests are to be believed he has nothing at all to worry about... If the tests are in any way inaccurate then why should he bother spending all that time, effort and money?
DR there have been wrong results as well as presumed correct ones, thats all anyone is saying.

I know, this is the question I've been asking for Christ knows how long, why?Judy wrote:

Re: Credible Cockers!
Because the effin test is inaccurate?
