Dog Transit Boxes

Post by farleigh »

Hi All

Am investigating the possibility of a double transit box with drawers to keep all the dirty stuff out of the main part of the new car when it arrives  . I have been trying to email CAB who made our last, much loved (single) box but without success. I then found Mad About Pets website who appear to have a very similar product. I prefer the polypropylene boxes to aluminium as they are quieter and appear cosier for the dogs.

Does anyone have any information or advice to impart about either company or any alternatives?

Thanks

Mad About Pets do good boxes, Falcon Fabrication also make them and are by far the cheapest

I believe James on here started making them, don't know if he still does but worth a PM if he doesn't reply to your thread.

Thought I would update on the transit box. We eventually found Donderry and they have done a superb job. Bearing in mind we are in NZ and they had to work with my measurements without seeing the car. They were very helpful and I am extremely happy with the box and drawer set that we received. The quality is great and the dogs very comfortable in it.

Has anyone had any dealings with DT Boxes? They're based in Northern Ireland and I spoke with them at the Scone game fair. Thinking of getting a box from them, they look good quality and reasonably priced

For anyone looking for a transit box recommendation I ordered the aforementioned box from DT Boxes two days ago and it arrived today. I got the DT-9 for the Range Rover Evoque and it's a quality item. I paid £430 for the box, delivery and the bumper protector.

Hi.
I'm also looking for a single box, to fit in a Range Rover Sport, and have looked at TransK9 and really like the ventilation, safety and design.
Anyone any comments about TransK9?

I’ve two TransK9 boxes and can’t fault them. One we’ve had for about 8 years and it doesn’t rattle in transit, great build quality.
