Poorly Cocker.

9.5 y.o. Cocker 12 days into her season .

Symptoms –
Haemorrhaged in car dog box yesterday morning,unsure where bleeding came from.
Lethargy – doesn’t check bins outside houses!
Unwilling to climb doorstep or get in/out of car or move from her bed.
Temperature was slightly high 39.3 C., now 38.1 C.
Drinking and urinating quite a lot , faeces normal, ate up last evening. Vet says not dehydrated.
No excretion when vulva suppressed.
Abdomen seems extended/bloated.
I feared pyometra but vet thinks urinary tract infection , gave her antibiotic injection yesterday morning ( doesn't seem to have improved since) and is phoning tomorrow lunchtime to check progress.

Anyone have any idea of what else maybe the problem please?

Take her back to the vet today, don't wait for the phone call if she is not improving.

Vet has been and thinks the lethargy is a back problem & has given her an anti inflammatory injection.
